Thrifty Cooking Wednesday - Three Super Easy and Delicious Crock Pot Chicken Recipes

Both these recipes taste amazing and have only a few ingredients.  By having dinner pre planned and ready to eat when you get home you save money because you wont be tempted to order out or panic buy.

Sweet and Savory Hawaiian Crock-Pot Chicken


2 lbs chicken tenderloins cut into chunks
1 cup pineapple juice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup soy sauce


Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook for 4 to 8 hours on low.  Serve over rice and stirfried veggies.

Farmhouse Crockpot Chicken


6 boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1/4 cup sour cream or greek yogurt
1- 1 oz packet hidden valley ranch dressing

Mix all ingredients into crockpot and cook on low 4 to 8 hours.  Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.

Crockpot Lemon Chicken

1/4 cup flour
4-6 chicken breasts cut up
1/4 cup butter
1 packet Italian seasoning
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 chicken broth
salt and pepper to taste

Dredge the chicken pieces in flour and sauté in the hot butter until golden brown.  Pour chicken and fat into crockpot.  Sprinkle the seasoning over chicken then pour oer lemon juice and broth.  Cover and cook on low for 4 to 8 hours.  When done salt and pepper to taste.  Serve with noodles.
