I love art. Bringing beauty into my home is something I long for. My favorite art janras are the impressionists and pre- Raphaelites. So when Gallery Direct offered to do a review/giveaway with me I was thrilled.
Here is a blurb about the company
After being in the commercial art business for more than 10 years, our CEO Joseph Garcia founded Gallery Direct in 2009 with a singular intent – to bring art to life – Joseph loved art and wanted nothing more than to make it available to everyone. Ever since, his passion for his business has allowed him to build something truly special – a myriad of fine art work, a community of talented artists, and a team of committed people – all working together within a cool company whose core values reflect the same mission:
We want you to love us. Nothing matters more than that.
Wow that is quite a mission statement!
My experience with Gallery Direct was positive from start to finish. Their site is easy to navigate and search for the perfect piece of artwork for your home. The selection is huge, but because of the way they have categorized the art styles it is not overwhelming. You can even search by color scheme to match a certain room in your home! And to top it off you can have them print your own art work or photographs on their high quality materials.
It was very hard for me to choose just one print because there are so many that I would love to have. Here are several that they offer that I liked. I personally have a hard time decorating without first getting some ideas from magazines. My advice it to try find what decorating style makes your home feel soothing and comfortable. Once you figure that out for yourself, then look at styles of artwork that match your theme. I am more of a classic person. So having a piece of modern artwork would look out of place in my home.
A lovely painting by Vincent Van Gogh. They have quite a colletion of his art and I love his work!
I ended up choosing one of Claude Monet's water lily paintings. I have always loved these particular paintings. The ordering was very easy and straightforward, and my print was shipped quickly. When it arrived I noticed how well packaged it was so that it wouldn't be damaged in the mail. I chose my print to be on canvas so it would have a more authentic look, but Gallery Direct has several materials you can choose to have your art printed on.
This is the picture as I hung it over our piano in our living room. I adore the deep blues and greens and it really looks nice! The price wasn't too bad either, and Gallery Direct runs many sales and promotions including ones for free shipping.
