As Food Provider in Chief of our household I take good nutrition seriously. I have slowly but surely been changing over to more nutritious foods and eliminating highly processed empty foods that are the normal American SAD (standard American diet) diet. The more nutrient rich and organic I can make my cooking the better. So when More Than Alive offered to send me some items for review I was thrilled.
More Than Alive is a company that carries food storage, high quality water filters, bulk foods, bulk herbs, supplements, books, and clothing accessories. They focus on natural health and promoting health through high quality products.
They have an extensive Bulk Foods sections where they carry things like nut flours, black teas, spices, and cacao powder to name a few.
They sent me their gluten free package. With more and more people who are developing gluten intolerances I was eager to try them out.
Almond Flour, Baking Powder, Raw Cacao Powder ,Organic Cinnamon Powder, Organic Coconut Flour, Organic Rapadura Sugar, Redmond Real Salt, and Raw Shredded Coconut, Organic, unsweetened.
I tried out the almond flour, Redmond salt, and cacao powder in a gluten free chocolate cake recipe. It turned out delicious, but more of a brownie texture. I loved the organic cacao powder and always try to use Redmond Real Salt in all my cooking. The almond meal made it very moist.
I cant wait to try the rest of what they sent me. Their prices are also fairly reasonable. I find the rest of the selections they had interesting, especially their medicinal herbs!
Bonus!
More Than Alive is offering all of my readers a promo code that is good for 10% off all orders that are $45.00 or more, not including shipping. Enter TTHSALE10 at checkout to get your 10% off.
