Wouldn't it be great if we could dress like this again?

Looking at these simple yet feminine and lovely dresses I think how great it would be if we as women could dress like this again.  It seems like fashion today either makes you look like a drudge in a uniform of jeans and shirt or makes you look like a streetwalker.  Where is the middle ground?

  1. I'm a new follower and I adore dresses like these. I would love to get my sewing skills up to par and make a million of these dresses to fill my closet. They are just so pretty and feminine. They are also so much more figure flattering than most of the stuff I can find in the store. I love the whole collection you have here.

  2. I DO dress like this! All you need is a sewing machine, a good pattern, and a petticoat to make the skirt pouf out.

And some bravery. It is NOT easy to wear dresses like this while you're walking amongst people who don't think twice about looking like they just rolled out of bed.

Don't get me wrong - I LOVE my jeans and T-shirts, too. But I feel like a million dollars when I wear one of my frocks. People tend to treat me better, too. I'm not a slob in a dress like that, afterall, I'm a LADY.

As a mom, you are the "brand name logo" for your family. Granted, we can't step out in our party frocks all the time - - but the way you dress tells the world not only what you think of yourself, but what kind of image you set for your whole family.

  3. Thank you both so much for the kind words and ideas! I'm so glad you are here and hope you enjoy my blog. I love to hear from my readers so feel free to comment and even make suggestions on things you would like to see more of.
