Hearthfires In Autumn
As I walk the scent of hearth fires surrounds me
heady and fragrant
Reminding me of warm lights dancing
rich stews simmering
and cozy beds piled with quilts
The leaves rustle and crack in the keen wind
gold's, crimsons, and chestnuts
Glimmer in the dying light
Beguiling me to linger
But then I shiver
Home is calling with it's comfort
And once again I thank God for Octobers
As I walk the scent of hearth fires surrounds me
heady and fragrant
Reminding me of warm lights dancing
rich stews simmering
and cozy beds piled with quilts
The leaves rustle and crack in the keen wind
gold's, crimsons, and chestnuts
Glimmer in the dying light
Beguiling me to linger
But then I shiver
Home is calling with it's comfort
And once again I thank God for Octobers
